The freedom of acting

In interviews that I’ve read with various actors, I’ve often read them talking about the “freeing power” that comes from acting. Now since I’m leagues aways from talking to Hollywood megastars, I figure I try to find someone here at Stony Brook University who feels freedom in front of a spotlight. Her name is Katherine Gorham, a 20-year-old junior theatre major about to perform in Stony Brook Pocket Theatre’s presentation of the acclaimed musicalĀ Next to Normal. Ms. Gorham didn’t find the phrase so foreign, but not without some elaboration.
